Ambassadors Program Annual Reports
From 2017 to 2021 I headed up the creation of annual impact reports for The Ambassadors Program—Mission to the World’s major donor program, which raised and distributed funding to strategic initiatives. Each year, I would gather impact stories and relevant data from teams and projects around the world, write the copy, and collaborate with MTW’s lead designer and editing team to create a solid product.
NETWORK MAGAZINE
As Mission to the World’s staff writer from 2016–2022, I was heavily involved in writing, story-finding, and editing the Network, the organization’s semi-annual magazine.
Story Training for Mission to the World Staff
MTW missionaries and staff in the field operated on a self-funding model, meaning that they had to raise their own funding for their salary and projects. I created a story training module for the entire organization which aimed to empower field staff with the basics of story science and structure to help them tell their own story more effectively and grow in their ability to communicate their mission and raise sufficient funds to accomplish their projects sustainably. This training document is now regularly used by both new and experienced MTW field staff.
MicroMentor Impact Report | 2019
In late 2019 I spent four months volunteering with MicroMentor, a Mercy Corps program that matches entrepreneurs across the globe with business mentors to help businesses thrive, create jobs, and generate positive change in their communities. I gathered stories, wrote the copy, and worked with a designer to create their annual impact report for 2019.
